+Consecrated to God, British+
+Wakefield: Old English for "wet field."+

This meaning doesn't really fit the character of Liz Wakefield. She has never been a particularly holy person. On the other hand, "wet field" sort of fits, because at times she has sort of put a damper on fun, mostly in the SVH series. But she has cried a lot in the SY series.

+JeSSiCa+
+Wealthy, Welsh+
+Wakefield: Old English for "wet field."+

Jessica definitely wants to be wealthy, so this name fits her. She loves money and all the things it can buy her, but I have to say that since Senior Year, she has not been so vain and money hungry.

+MaRia+
+a Latin version of Mary, The New Testament form of Miriam (Hebrew for"bitter")+

Well, Maria has been bitter a lot in SY. First it was losing Conner, then finding out about Liz and Conner, then she was bitter over losing Ken to Melissa, then she was bitter over the Senate Scholarship. So I guess the name really does fit, of course there have been times when she has not been bitter, so all in all, Maria is not a bitter character.

+Tia+
+Princess or aunt, Spanish+

The meaning of her name doesn't really influence her character. She doesn't act like a princess, and I don't believe she is an aunt.

+MeLiSSa+
+A honey bee, Greek+

Melissa does like to sting people with her snippy comments and what not, so the meaning of her name fits her character well. Then of course there are times she can be sweet as honey. Yep, her name works quite well.

+JaDe+
+Green Gemstone, Spanish for "stone of the loins." A semiprecious stone prized in the Orient for its rich green color and as a good-luck charm.+

Jade hasn't been too lucky, so I don't think the good-luck charm part applies to her. I think of Jade as green, which implies jealousy and she has definitely been jealous during the books. But she has been turning over a new leaf, another green reference :)

+CoNNeR+
+Irish for "desire." Clean and crisp+

Well, like the Irish, Conner liked to drink. He is also a very desirable guy to many girls: Maria, Tia, Liz, Jade... and all his past girlfriends. Clean and crisp doesn't really apply since he usually has a somewhat scruffy look about him, but I do believe Conner's name fits quite well with his character in SY.

+JeReMY+
+God will uplift, chosen by God+

God has helped the Aames family recover from Jeremy's dad's heart attack, and he has helped them get a job, but otherwise his name really doesn't fit his character.

+eVaN+
+Welsh variation of John+

No clue.

+aNDY+
+From the name Andrew, meaning manly and courageous, British+
+Marsden: From the Old English for "field near water."+

Andy is definitely not manly, but you could call him courageous, having to tell his friends that he might be gay. So the name sort of fits his character. The field near water part has no importance whatsoever.

+WiLL+
+Short version of William. Old German for "valiant protector."+

Will has definitely been a protector or Melissa since they began going out in eighth grade. He even tried to protect Jessica, so he is most definitely a protective guy. His name fits perfectly with his character.

+Variation of the name Lily. From the Latin, lilium, for the flower. The lily, a flower of infinite varieties, is associated with purity, chastity, and innocence.+

Lila is really not too pure, so her name doesn't fit too well, though it is pretty. She is not an innocent by any means. But at least it sounds nice.
